The National Club Association recently held its annual meeting in Washington, D.C., where it elected new board members and officers. The new lineup of officers includes Philip R. Kiester, General Manager of The Country Club of Virginia in Richmond, as the new NCA Chairman, with Ted M. Benn, a Partner at Thompson & Knight LLP in Dallas, serving as the new Vice Chairman. Kevin P. Vitale, General Manager/COO of Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., was elected as the new Secretary and Kevin R. Reilly, a Partner at PBMares LLP of Fairfax, Va., will assume the position as the new Treasurer. The immediate Past Chairman is Kirk O. Reese of Los Angeles.

On April 15, the National Club Association (NCA) and the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), as part of WE ARE GOLF (a coalition of the game’s leading associations and industry partners) met with prominent policymakers in Washington, D.C., for the eighth annual National Golf Day to share stories about golf’s diverse businesses, employees, tax revenue creation, tourism and charitable events, and environmental leadership—and to discuss issues of importance to the private club industry. These efforts continue to reinforce NCA’s mission as the voice of the club industry.
