Support Texas Clubs and Their Employees

Recovering from Hurricane Harvey

These are the times that show how special it is to be part of the private club industrywhen we can come together and assist those in dire need. Please see below how you can help the club employees and their families so badly affected by the devastating recent events in Texas. The National Club Association has made a $1,000 contribution to support our private club industry family and I ask that you thoughtfully consider how you, your club or your business can assist. While your contribution to the Texas Lone Star Chapter is not tax deductible, this is a way that you can directly deliver assistance to those dramatically impacted by the hurricane and subsequent flooding.

Thank you for your support of the clubs in Texas.

Sincerely,

Henry Wallmeyer
President & CEO

Texas Lone Star Chapter Harvey Relief Efforts

Ladies and Gentlemen,

In these heartbreaking times, we also experience moments of inspiration and moments that define courage, unity and hope. From the Texas Lone Star Chapter Board to our clubs and all of our employee partners, we cannot define in words the impact to your personal and professional lives. All of our lives are going to be different for a while and probably a long while. The nation has been able to see Texas at her best and the acts of altruism that might otherwise have gone unnoticed.

We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from Texas Lone Star Chapter members, friends and colleagues anxiously waiting to know how they can support those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Numerous clubs along the Texas coast have suffered significant damage, but it's the personal loss of our club management colleagues that requires our immediate support. The Texas Lone Star Chapter is launching efforts to assist these individuals in getting back on their feet. "Clubs Helping Clubs" is what makes this industry special. If you have employees in need, please share the following information. If you want to contribute to restoring lives, here's how you can help!

We will maintain a listing of clubs willing to support these individuals and ask those looking for opportunities to contact prospective clubs directly.

Donation Drop-Offs:
The TLSC will organize several distribution locations where donations will be accepted and distributed to club employees in need. Individual's needs will be identified via a survey distributed to club employees in the impacted areas.

Volunteer:
Many of our colleagues will require clean up and restoration to their homes. If you are interested in volunteering to be on stand-by for these projects, please email sam@texascmaa.org.
