The eighth annual National Club Conference will be held in Washington, D.C., April 28 – 29, 2011 at the Park Hyatt Washington, located in historic Georgetown. The conference will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the National Club Association as well providing timely information on the most important issues facing the private club industry today.

NCA’s golden anniversary celebration will kick off with a festive reception and dinner at the Chevy Chase Club, one of the most prestigious clubs in the D.C. area. Enjoy a classic Washington welcome to start the 2011 National Club Conference as we revisit 1961, when John F. Kennedy was sworn in as President of the United States, the Beatles performed for the first time, and the National Club Association was founded. Join us as we reminisce about 1960s politics, music and lifestyles … celebrate the past, imagine a new future … and have one heck of a birthday party!

NCA’s signature trends and legislative updates kick off the education program, followed by a technology seminar as well as an open question-and-answer session with private club experts on legal, financial, governance and communications issues.

Frank Vain, President, The McMahon Group, and Susanne R. Wegrzyn, NCA’s President & CEO, will present Preparing for Your Future: Trends Affecting the Private Club Community, focusing on timely, pertinent information such as economic influences on club membership; changing population demographics affecting a club’s membership and workforce; evolving lifestyles imposing new demands on club services; and the latest leisure and recreation trends for key market segments. A highlight of the presentation will be the release of new golf industry data and research compiled by Golf 20/20, the industry-wide initiative to increase participation in the game.
