Congressman Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) to Address National Club Conference as Keynote Speaker

(Washington, D.C., April 4, 2013)--Congressman Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) will address the National Club Conference on the major issues that the 113th Congress will face on the road ahead, as part of the conference's "Legal, Legislative and Regulatory Issues" education track.

The 2013 National Club Conference, held on April 28-30 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Florida will also feature education tracks addressing:

  • Trends Affecting the Future of Clubs - Sessions include programs on the top megatrends, technology innovations and industry benchmarking trends
  • Building Effective Club Governance - Presentations panels and discussions for club managers and board members on a wide range of important challenges, from building effective club governance and crisis communication to case studies in board leadership

"As issues on Capitol Hill continue to grow for the private club industry, it is critical that we hear directly from those who are engaged in shaping the outcome of the legislative process," noted NCA President & CEO, Susanne R. Congressman Ron DeSantis was sworn in on January 3, 2013, as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Florida's sixth district, which includes St. Johns and Flagler counties, as well as large areas of Volusia and Putnam Counties. A Florida native, DeSantis attended Yale University, graduating with a bachelor of arts, magna cum laude. Additionally, he earned his J.D. with honors from Harvard Law School. He has served as a military prosecutor and a federal prosecutor, and is currently an officer in the U.S. Navy reserve.
